The Motumundi climate and environment festival
takes place annually in Tuscany
This is an event that is divided into debates, conferences, workshops and laboratories in compliance with the provisions on the prevention of contagion from Covid-19, as well as those relating to the risk of spread.
The events are both in participatory form open to the public and with remote participation via on-line platforms.
The panels, which are in Italian and English, discuss climate&environment, climate&education, climate&science, climate&politics, climate&business, climate&migration, climate&technologies, climate&food, climate&fauna and climate&work.
Target
The aim of the festival is to turn the spotlight on the need for a cultural change in the environmental field, an environment that must be safeguarded, among other things, with proper energy production and a policy that has sustainability as a priority.
Sustainability
The key word of the festival is sustainability, a sustainability that is expressed through decarbonisation, renewable energy, wind, photovoltaic, electric mobility, separate waste collection and energy saving.
Pillars
Climate change, environmental education, research against pollution, the eco-sustainable development of society, the 17 UN sustainable development goals and plastic free are the pillars of the festival in which, in addition to representatives of the international scientific community, the students of different levels and levels who are the real protagonists of Motumundi.

An Honor Committee is set up to highlight the prestige of the event. The committee is made up of personalities, including institutional ones, of international importance.
Membership is an expression of appreciation for the initiative which, given the issue, is designed to promote cultural change in the environmental sphere.

Motumundians
An interdisciplinary environmental awareness school has been set up within Motumundi. It includes, among others, students, researchers, teachers, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives.
Participants called Motumundians follow, under the aegis of the scientific committee, daily workshops divided into classes that group them without taking into
account their profession: the goal is to make people with different doctrinal and professional experiences work together.
